Transforming our public health system
In the Special Fiscal and Economic Statement October 2005, the State Government announced funding of $6.4 billion in just over five years for enhanced public health services for Queenslanders. Following the 2006-07 Budget, State funding for Queensland Health will increase by $9.7 billion over this period. The funding is directed at improving services and attracting and retaining skilled staff to provide Queenslanders with quality public health services.
