- $61 million to continue building the new $405.6 million Mackay Base Hospital, which will provide more operating theatres, a coronary care unit and larger intensive care unit

Delivering jobs for Queensland
- $178.3 million toward the Jilalan Rail Yard Upgrade
- $102.9 million in electricity infrastructure improvements for the region
- Almost $42 million toward the construction of the Vermont Rail Spur and Balloon Loop on the Oaky Creek line, north of Dysart
- Funding of $34 million toward the duplication of rail track between Coppabella to Ingsdon
- More than $14 million toward the development of a third rail loop at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal
- $4 million towards upgrading the Whitsunday Airport
- $410,000 to complete the Whitsunday Islands Great Walk in the Whitsunday National Park
Better and safer roads
- $37.6 million to construct the $148 million Forgan Bridge and approaches on Barnes Creek Road
- Funding to complete the $20 million widening of the Rockleigh-North Mackay Road
- More than $18 million toward the replacement of the St Lawrence River Rail Bridge
Education and early childhood development
- $12 million to continue work on the $46.1 million specialist trade campus in Mackay
- More than $10.7 million for classroom upgrades in local schools over the next three years, including installing solar panels in every State school by 2011
- $6.3 million to go towards constructing the $7.8 million combined trade training school and industry trade centre at Mackay North State High School
- As part of the first tranche of the Government's commitment to 240 new or expanded kindergartens by 2014, funding for new kindergartens at Seaforth and Beaconsfield
Improving emergency services
- Funding towards a new ambulance station at Clermont
- $1.19 million to construct and upgrade a State Emergency Service facility and ambulance station at Moranbah
Protecting our environment and building communities
- $100,000 to upgrade the Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club
- A new boat ramp at Freshwater Point
