- $155 million towards the construction of the new 750-bed, $1.762 billion University Hospital on the Gold Coast
- $72.4 million to expand the $240 million Robina Hospital to deliver an extra 179 beds by 2012
Better and safer roads and transport
- $135 million toward the Gold Coast Rapid Transit System between Parkwood and Broadbeach
- Starting work on the widening of Olsen Avenue from Melia Court to Smith Street Connection Road – a project worth more than $126 million
- Continuing the $135 million duplication of Hope Island Road
- $97.3 million to continue the extension of the Gold Coast Railway from Robina to Varsity Lakes
- $35.2 million in joint Queensland-Australian Government funding to continue work on the $142 million interchange improvements on the Pacific Motorway at Robina and Varsity Lakes
- $30 million to continue widening the Gold Coast Highway, at a total cost of $127 million
- New bus station at Coomera town centre
- $17.9 million in joint Queensland-Australian Government funding to complete the $47 million upgrade of the Mudgeeraba interchange on the Pacific Motorway
Education and early childhood development
- $28.9 million to continue developing the $30.5 million Coomera Education Precinct of the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE
- More than $21.5 million in classroom upgrades at local schools over the next three years and solar panels in every State school by 2011
- Continuing improvements to local schools including $4.4 million to construct stage two at Park Lake State School, $3 million for Kalbar State School, $3.9 million to begin planning stage two of Ormeau Woods State High School and $3 million for Varsity College
- Funding for new kindergartens at Mudgeeraba and Gaven and an extended kindergarten at Jimboomba
Improving emergency services
- $3.6 million to redevelop the $5.29 million Southport Fire Station
- $3.05 million to build a new $3.45 million fire station at Nerang
- $2.92 million to complete the $3.45 million refurbishment of the Beenleigh Police Station
- $2.7 million to complete the new $10.03 Coomera District Police Headquarters
- $2 million to build a new ambulance station at Runaway Bay, $150,000 for a new $2 million ambulance station at Jimboomba and $715,000 for new $2.62 million ambulance training facility at Pimpama
Protecting our environment and facilities for communities
- $120 million to continue raising the level of Hinze Dam on the Gold Coast, at an estimated total cost of $395 million
- $60 million over three years towards the redevelopment of the Gold Coast Stadium at Carrara
- $1 million to continue to restore Kirra Beach
